1. Where can I buy the videos? The Peggy Cappy Yoga for the Rest of Us, MORE Yoga for the Rest of Us, and Back Care Basics - Yoga for the Rest of Us videos are for sale on this web site.
2. Do you ship to Canada? Yes we ship to Canada.
3. How long will it take for my video to arrive? Our goal is to ship all orders within two business days after receipt. United States orders are shipped via United States Postal Service Mail which usually takes about one week. Canadian deliveries are also shipped via United States Postal Sevice International First Class Mail. Canadian orders usually take about two weeks to arrive, but may take up to three weeks.
4. Is this video for me? This yoga video can benefit you if you have ever thought:
- I am too old, or I feel too old.
- I'm overweight (whether 10 or 50 pounds).
- I don't want to go to a gym or take a class with people who are already in shape.
- I'd like something I can do at home in small, "I really can do this" amounts.
- I don't want to watch skinny models hired to do the video--I want to watch "real" people.
- I want someone to show me how to do things my body will be able to do and I want that person to be gentle, accepting, and encouraging.
5. I am really out of shape. Can I do this video? If you have not done any physical exercise in a long time you should check with your doctor before starting. Make sure that you explain that this is not the type of yoga video where you have to be able to bend like a pretzel. Peggy has designed the series of yoga poses to be gentle and easy to do.
6. Can I do this video if I am in a wheelchair? All of the Yoga for the Rest of Us Part 1 is done from a seated position and can be done in a wheelchair. The deep relaxation can also be practiced from a seated position.
7. Are the videos available on DVD? The videos are available on DVD or VHS tape.
8. Are the videos closed captioned? The videos (DVD and VHS tape) are closed captioned.
9. What do I need to get started? All you need to get started is an area about four feet by six feet, the video, a VCR or DVD player, a good sturdy chair, and the willingness to try. Comfortable, loose-fitting clothes are best to wear. A yoga mat makes a surface less likely to be slippery so you have a better grip.
10. How are the videos different? MORE Yoga for the Rest of Us, Peggy's second video is all new. The poses are different. The stretches are different. And the guided relaxation is different. MORE Yoga for the Rest of Us includes a section of poses on the floor which replaces the warm-up series in a chair on Yoga for the Rest of Us. If you have enjoyed Yoga for the Rest of Us, MORE Yoga for the Rest of Us will give you a new and varied way to do yoga in the comfort of your own home.
11. Do I need to do the first video before doing the other videos? No. It is not necessary to have done Yoga for the Rest of Us before doing MORE Yoga for the Rest of Us or Back Care Basics - Yoga for the Rest of Us. The yoga on each video has been modified for beginners. Peggy developed all the videos with the same guiding principle as the original video--that every body should have a yoga that they can do. The first video has a gentle beginning section of chair warm-up stretches and no requirement to get down on the floor. The second video starts with a section of floor stretches and is a great companion to the first video.
